Setting up and running an orphanage is a complex business. The local government has many requirements to prove that you will be kind and look after the children properly.
This is a good thing as it is important that vulnerable children are given a safe place to be and cared for with the love they need.
We know that when we ask for help then we need to build trust with you - who may be many thousands of miles away from Uganda. Please be assured that the local authorities do not allow anyone to setup an orphanage without many inspections and official documents. We keep these up to date and can provide copies so you can have confidence that we will use anything you send to us to help house, feed, clothe, and educate the children.
We hope that you have read the letter from Robert on the previous page on how the orphanage started. His own story, with the loss of his parents at a young age, connected him with the orphans he saw around him.
You can also read some of the stories of the children and how they came to the orphanage.
The next stage was to start the orphanage officially with the local government. You can see some of these below.
Where ever we are in the world we can help provide for the children.
Many examples are shown on the donation page.
